Blank....stare... blank

Still comes the age old problem... racism in society and in this case sunny Singapore itself. Accompanied mum to NDC for her dental checkup and "waddled" over to Chinatown then after.. somehow I still do feel a tiny bit ostracized there.. especially by the older folks tending to the stalls there.. as you know I'm not of a pure race so there. Reminded me of mum and her siblings.. being ostracized by her own relatives at a young age for being a mixed as they considered her "impure". Mindsets of the elderly ARE indeed hard to change... though there are a handful of the younger generation who tend to behave the same way... not the friends or classmates or colleagues but a "step-cousin's" wife.. hopefully she doesn't impart the wrong values to her adorable little boy. Still I gotta say I'm proud of my race (though I don't quite fancy touring the streets of Little India) and hey granddad's an authentic indian from India and I'm proud of it... and no I still do not understand tamil.
