KL trip

KL was.. well, warm. Can't say much about the place though.. was just a short stay.. didn't have time to explore the place enough to comment. Went to KL for one reason, to accompany mum and her reason being.. church. Like believe or not.. I haven't been to church for masses and all since I was.. 16 or 17 and I actually attended one all the way in KL. Oddly, the location of the church was at some isolated location, right smack in the middle of some factories in Shah Alam an hour and a half's drive from the city.. what a location.. bloody inconvinent.. but then again Malaysia is somewhat of a muslim country so I suppose churches are placed in such inconvinent locations "for a purpose" if you get my drift. A far cry from Aussie where churches are located in prominent places like for example, the city and for Sg, given the little space we have, they are situated in pretty accessible areas near housing estates.

Anyway, stay was at the Federal, a so-called 5 star hotel or so I was told. What was promised was : -

"16 square metre rooms offering a sense of warmth and comfort. Equipped with satellite television and movie channels, high speed internet access, minibar coffee/tea maker, room safe and hairdryer.",as quoted from the website.. like sure.. well for starters, the "satellite televison" offered just one satellite channel, discovery channel and for the movie channel(S).. none other than their malaysian channels offering the norm.. e.g channel 5 and the prime time movies.. pretty much a fraud if you ask me.. and they left us tiny little room-mates as well, BABY ROACHES, like thanks, we needed the extra companionship. Five star? Bah! A 2 - 3 star perhaps.. if the Federal's a five star.. I don't see how one can rate Sg's hotels. Breakfast buffet.. horrible, I shall not elaborate on that.

The only thing that was a-okay was the air-conditioning.. besides that.. work on it.. I did however enjoy the scenery while on the road.. big open spaces and yeah I did want to visit their "largest indoor themepark" too, didn't have the time do so, shall wait till the next time.. maybe with Stef and hubs, my two dearest people.

The thing that amused me was that vendors were actually allowed able to sell immitation goods in malls openly.. Guess, Coach, LV, Gucci.. the more common ones.. even sport and surf brands like Nike and Billabong are not spared.. not that Singaporeans are absolute angels, sure you do see some selling 'em but at a risk.. a hefty fine and not to mention, free accomodation and food, behind bars.

Sigh. Was pretty much "sponging" off mum in KL.. hey I'm not working and money doesn't drop from the sky.. mum's the best.. she never does disappoint me.. paid for the trip and expenses.. even though she paid for my bday celebration the month before, the sweetes ain't she? Though she does get on my nerves at times, but which mum doesn't?

That aside, school's commencing on Monday.. so soon.. alittle too soon, perhaps not, just that I'm not quite prepared.

Ignoring's not on my agenda, and therefore I hate being ignored as well especially when it ain't my fault, with that I shall end this long whiney post of mine.
