CNY'07

Its CNY again..a time whereby everyone gathers and such.. gossiping and whatnots.. a time whereby you get bombarded with questions.. a time in which you gotta meet bratty lil' cousins and horrible relatives who tend to intrute just a little too much into your personal affairs.. some of 'em anyway.. then again, there are always the nice ones.. those whom you actually look forward to meeting. Take my case for example, wasn't too keen on meeting mum's bros and their wives and bratty kids.. for starters.. I don't speak their language and they don't speak mine.. secondly.. they just seem to rub me the wrong way.. so wrong that I swear I never want to see their faces again.. I'm just doing so for mum's sake.. thankfully the aunts are okay.. but do you really have to 'look down' on me simply cause I can't speak teochew? Look, I'm trying.. at least I understand you don't I? So chill already.

A major mood spoiler.. that aside, came back and saw gran's bro, sis-in-law and the entire fam.. its been a year since I last saw 'em.. and I have a new lil' cuzzie.. adorable little Natalie..a darling she most definately is.. nice big eyes and all.. kinda like a doll.. I feel so old.. I'm like 19 years her senior.. well at least I'll have the honour of pampering her.. LOL!

Had the usual reunion dinner and this time with Stef, Dan, David and grams around.. not to mention.. both mom and pops were there too.. I guess.. I just missed that feeling.. hopefully it'll be the same in the following years to come.

Hm.. vday.. received pressies from him.. a gorgeous red watch and my long awaited "Shopaholic & Baby" sequel and yeap I finally got my blue rose.. my first ever.. crazy 'bout hot pink I wouldn't deny.. but flowers wise.. you gotta admit that nothing beats blue ones.. pink's just outtta the league.. wouldn't mind black ones though.. but who on earth sells 'em? Anyway.. caught 2 films on the day itself (so I am a movie fanatic..), 'Epic Movie' and 'The Protege'.. Epic movie's dumb.. a bloody waste of money.. The Protege though is a really good film.. surprisingly..it was yours truely who suggested watching it.. odd.. I know.. chinese films just ain't my type but for me to actually say its good.. you'd better believe me.. though.. Louis Khoo was downright ugly and not to mention repulsive looking in the show.. Daniel Wu made up for that though.. major hottie.. hey guys drool over gigantic boobs don't they.. so why can't a lady go "ga-ga" at yet another pretty boy? Point taken? Pretty much I'd like to think :)

Food for thought.. been thinking 'bout this.. the words photographer and photography.. seems that many fail to pronounce it the right way.. (or is it just me?) in other words.. most pronounce it as "fo-to-graph-fer" and "fo-to-graph-fi" instead of "fer-taw-gr-fer" and "fer-taw-graf-fi".. excuse me for the phonics.. can't spell the exact ones.. just the soundalikes.. so.. are there two pronounciations or..?

Anyway.. time for me to catch some winks.. gon' send Ju and Vonn off at the airport in 4 hours? Later people.. :)
