Finally decided to catch "Blood Diamond" and nope.. there wasn't the slightest bit of regret.. it was in fact a really good show.. and yes the title pretty much explains the show.. blood being shed in the quest of obtaining diamonds.. really makes you wonder how a person can betray the world and turn his back against it for one thing, fortune.

What I can say is that.. the film was pretty much an eye opener to the world around us.. whereby fortune can mean everything and lives.. were simply.. well.. something totally unimportant or rather worthless in that sense.. and how much a person would actually risk for that one stone.. come to think of it.. yes it may look glamourous and all.. but how much can a mere piece of rock do for you.. is it really worth at the cost of another's life? Freaky how the world works ain't it? And.. yeap.. makes you wanna reconsider getting that little rock on your finger, ears or around your necks.. as quoted by Leonardo, "In America its bling bling but here is bling bang".. in other words.. its all fame, fortune and glamour in one part of the world whereas in the other.. tens and thousands of innocent lives are being lost to uncover this rock.

It is based on a real life situation.. one in which has been going on for years.. one in which not many may know or even care of.. ignorance they call it.. so.. conflict diamonds = death..? In a way I suppose.. anyway.. this is definately a film I wouldn't mind watching again.. though I usually have a tendency of re-watching the same movie.. but this time its most definately not what I'd label a waste of money.. for those who have yet to catch it.. I seriously would recommend this.. a 5/5 on my books.. next in line.. "The Queen".. yeah I know my movie genre are usually comedies and such but.. it does seem pretty interesting and intriguing.. so yeap.. anyone up for it? Haha.. somehow I highly doubt any of my peeps would be interested in "The Queen"..
