Mustafa/Mustapha..?

Catchy hee :)

S'pore headed for recession

Title's self explanatory.. forseeing more paycuts and retrenchments and whynots.. deja vu all over again.

Recession = lower income YET rising cost of living..

Loss of words.

:D

Caught the movie for the second time and have been listening to the soundtrack for the past 2 weeks yet still not sick of it :D Crazyness but I still can't get over it.

The bf and I finally having *ehem* matching phones lol cliche yes I know. My alternative to the iPhone.... Ominia. Still........ TRYING to get used to using it.. am getting so annoyed that I keep switching it back to the previous one.

Anna brought her darling Jodan on wed.. wasn't as fruitful as we imagine but a start at least?

Jodan - curious.. very curious of his surroundings and the two four legged females
Hazel - curious of Jodan yet seemingly fearful, maintaining a fierce outlook
Pebbles - interested yet laid back

Brought him over again on Sat.. both the prospective 'parents-in-law' anna and brandon came. *Touched* LOL! Situation seemed alittle better... I think? Bratty Hazel and demure Pebbles? Pebbles always being the one to be fawned over.. her quiet and gentle nature perhaps?

Anna : We should hang out this way more often...... we can keep Aloy and Brandon occupied with each other, gossip like old school days and Jodan can have a choice of his preferred female :D

Mamma Mia!

A DEFINATE MUST WATCH :D

Literally grew up listening to Abba to catching the movie now. Had to drag the bf along... he wasn't too keen on it but ended up liking it anyway. This is one other show that will keep me watching it continuously... watched it today and am planning to watch it again on Sat... call it a weird obssession if you may... Meryl & Pierce... from their previous serious roles to this.. you won't regret catching this film... a remake from the original years ago. I'm a sucker for musicals...

Randomness

My weekends are cursed to which I haven't the slightess idea why. I need an extra dosage of the simpsons pronto..

Its the mid-autumn festival but hell i hate mooncakes... funny since most love 'em

The words family or marriage are making lesser sense to me as the years go by. Besides the joy and celebration of a wedding.. the after effects seem more like a jail term with added burden and pressure from "additional" family members.. that I think I'd choose to do without.. afterall how many of such happy endings does one really see..?

Still I ain't giving my hopes of a Tiffany regardless of whether it comes in the form of a gift or a self bought for thy pityful self.. diamonds are afterall a girl's best friend...?

Random thoughts clouding my mind on a lazy Sunday afternoon *yawns*

Time to get up and get going and be alil' more self centred for once..

Impulsiveness got me to sign up for a 3 month subscription of mobtv yet again.. I ain't got much time to watch it 'cept on my lazy off days.. oh well at least I'll have Adrian Pang in his "nai ba" role to cheer me up for now.

**Liming.. now I can safely miss the episodes.. no more tv hogging haha you can drag me out anytime**

Derrick Barry... you've so gotta love him...

Dramamamaness

From the annoying little brat who irritates the hell outta me with every spare moment of her life to the irritant who shares the room with me, nevertheless irritating me all the same like in that of her younger years to an elegant and talented young lady (though still pesky).

A first outta the two years of hers at NAFA that I threw aside all procastination of mine and caught a play of hers...finally and I'm glad I did. Work was crappy, had a really bad day and the play wasn't my top priority yet the last thing I wanted was to disappoint her... with the much preparation and efforts put into it. I saw a different side of her which I've probably turned a blind eye to all these years and clearly she enjoyed herself, being the "drama-mama" she is she's proven her course to be well suited for her maybe cause... indian blood mahhhhh runs in the blood dei the drama-mamaness LOL! **Not being racist hor.. how to be when we ourselves are part of the race.."white indians" or rather "yellow indians" for that matter *grins* **

And I do miss a classmate of hers.. Fortu.. who has grown on me despite that short period she stayed over, a pot of rainbow overflowing with cheery-ness.

****************************************************
And I finally saw my darling son-in-law Jodan. Anna was right.. he has that downright mischievous look in his eyes YET at the same time enticing you to pick him up and cuddle him.. dogs have this ability that disallows you to stay pissed with them for long.. a very useful trait indeed, now.... if only that were applicable to us humans :)

Our 5th year..... :)

Took a 4 day leave.. a well deserved one if I may add :)

Travelling far wasn't on our agenda.. took the bf to Sunset Grill & Pub @ Singapore Flying Club. A nice laid back place right at the heart of Seletar airbase. Yeap a simple dinner to celebrate our 5th year this time round in comparision to the previous extravagant ones. I liked the place. Simple, laid back and a really nice place to just sit back and chill.. away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. Location was meant to be a surprise as we cabbed down but the darn driver just had to spoil it when he lost his way.. oh well.. the only down side for the day was the pick up. Called comfort for the 4th time before driver actually managed to locate us. That aside everything was a-okay.

A very blurred shot of the runway...

What can I say... I still love my steaks... despite my "determination" to abstain from them haha.. Vonn, you'll love them

Reservations would be adviced. :)

Had a short trip to Malaysia with the cousin as well which I must say was pretty enjoyable. Its been eons since we last hung out before she gave birth *grins* :D

And lastly pictures of my darling niece.. Jesny's daughter. Am finally starting to spend more time with her. The little doll's over a year old now.. takes after her mum not only in looks but her energetic and playful behaviour.

Jes was amazed that she even posed and waited still I got her pic... a rarity of hers haha. This little girl just oozes sweetness.

xxx

As bimbotic as the blog is becoming, I'd rather it as such rather then pouring out my heart, whims and woes... some stuff I would rather keep personal.. so be it if no one knows.. all the better ain't that so?

Been spending mucho time at the cuz's.. Jesny to be exact. Her little girl's the most precious little one ever.. makes Steph want a baby of her own too...haha well as long as she doesn't go kidnapping the little tykes at work *grins* Thinking back it didn't seem too long ago where we used to have sleep overs and late nights without the slightest responsibility and now she's a proud mommy with a huge responsibility. As much as I miss those carefree days I love her little girl all the same.. the way she dances and imitates KungFu Panda, it never fails to bring a smile to one's face.

A'ways.. met Amir for lunch..or rather he made his way over to the horrendously busy CBD. The lunch crowd must have freaked him out.. a 30 minute queue ain't a joke. Hun, time to get used to it.. you'll be joining the workforce soon LOL!

Am thinking of where to take the bf tmr.. love surprises, love giving one more :) Hard to imagine 5 years have passed.. now I've successful made myself feel a whole lot older.

Looking forward to my long weekend break.. a much deserved one if I may add :D

Kentang girl

"Kantang/Kentang" (however its spelt) girl wants to move to Aussie. A rather irrational reason if I may add... to simply join the cousins and a society whereby you're surrounded by say...99% of the population who communicate in english? No more "errs and ahhs" or getting stuck trying to figure out the proper translations of words to mandarin.

Working @ this current location has literally forced me into speaking mandarin.. and within that mere span of 5 months... more mandarin words have come out of this mouth of mine then it has ever been throughout the rest of my 22 years put together.. though I do pick up a couple of useful mandarin words or phrases every now and then thanks to the surrounding colleagues. English heavily peppered into my "mandarin" sentences when I speak.. its not a matter of unprofessionalism but rather one of the inevitable.

And kentang FYI was something the girls cooked up for me with memories of me replying in english as opposed to mandarin. Despite knowing this lovely group of ladies for almost a decade of my life I can almost safely guarantee that my horrendous mandarin has yet to or rather never reach their ears. *grins*

Why couldn't I have been enrolled for Spanish instead.. SIGH!

Love,
Miss Kentang/Potato

Special dedication

A couple of my favourite kids programmes back when I was a little tyke :)

I kinda doubt most would remember this, Lamb chops play along..... I used to LOVE this show. The cute little lamb who does somewhat seems alittle creepy now.. ahh I guess its just that getting used to part..?

And of course my all time fave 'Sesame Street' :) And Groover the goofball of the sesame street crew... I'm wondering if Miss Swan got her inspiration from him...

As much as I adore Sesame Street, they don't quite make it like how they used to in the past where it WOULD have catered to both the young and old.. sadly its become a tiny bit of a bore as compared to their past programmes.. nevertheless... I love them all the same.
